Jan. 23rd, 2007 07:48 pmI don't know if this is an unusual thing to do, but whenever I post a letter, I always look at the envelope very carefully before I put it in the postbox. This is to ensure that I haven't made a mistake, such as writing "3 Fart Road, Fartchester, Bumshire" instead of the correct address, or bringing a piece of toast with me instead of the letter.
Last night, while falling asleep, I had another experience which reminded me of dreams I used to have when I was younger. I used to have dreams in which I felt an extreme sense of futility, such as the conveyor belt dream I wrote about recently. Well, last night I was thinking about what would happen if I owed someone (for example) three femtopence - i.e. 0.000000000000003 pence. It would be impossible for me to give them that exact amount, and this briefly reminded me of the sense of futility I had in the conveyor belt dream.
