Misinterpreting news headlines
Mar. 28th, 2007 08:41 pmI read the following headline on BBC News:
"Iran TV shows seized UK navy crew"
For a moment I read that as meaning the sailors were kidnapped by the Iranian equivalent of Richard and Judy.

Date: 2007-06-13 04:06 am (UTC)Dear Mr. Arg,
I know you don't know me, but who really knows who on the internet these days? I have a question for you, and that question is this:
Do you know where I could find a VST of some of the alien voices in Captain Blood, or, failing that, at least a good collection of samples that I could attempt to make into a VST (but most preferably and hopefully a VST). My reason for wanting such a thing is this: I like music, a lot, and I also like video games. So instead of spending my days going to class and learning about computer networking I instead make video game music. What I really wanted to do was create some songs using the "voice" of Totakeke from Animal Crossing (here's a video taken by some shakey knob in case you haven't played it: http://youtube.com/watch?v=a9z4lcq1yrU). But sadly the search for a Totakeke VST turned up fruitless, so I went to the next best video game voice: Captain Blood aliens. My searchs so far have also been fruitlacking, but I figured if someone on the internet could help me, it could be you.
I don't have anything to offer as thanks, except pictures of cats and of course completed songs in the future. And my thanks.
So thanks,
And cheers,
Jason
