The other day I posted on Facebook about the eccentric game developer Jeff Minter. He is now being threatened with legal action by Atari for doing a new game similiar to Tempest 2000, which he wrote for them 20 years ago (the new game is named TxK). There is much debate as to whether Atari (a withered husk of a company owned by people with no relation to the Atari(s) of the 80s or 90s) are legally in the right, but at the moment Minter is faced with having to abandon the work he's done in the last year and leave the almost-finished PC, PS4 and virtual reality versions of TxK unreleased. Markus Persson, the billionaire creator of Minecraft has tweeted his support for Minter - perhaps he will provide some financial support, but in case he doesn't, consider helping Jeff Minter by buying some of his PC and iOS games. (Also, buy them simply because they're great and unique games):
